Here is a template for the e-holes I am making in my scrapbox guitar. Watch the video to see how I am using it. The e-holes are centred around the line, which should be centred on your front panel for the guitar.
I have made this one A4 size, which seems to suit what I do. But I am sure you can adapt it.
